Soochow University School of Music is seeking full-time Staff Pianist tojoin the institution's international faculty.
The Staff Pianist is assigned to accompany for weekly studentinstrumental rehearsals, lessons, studioclasses, occasional recitals, guest masterclasses, and examjuries. The staff pianist reports to the Coordinator of StaffAccompanists.
The Staff Pianist must be willing to work with students of variouslevels (from undergraduate to Artist Diploma) as assigned by the Coordinator,and maintain contact with other Music Performance Faculty. Additional responsibilities such as class piano and/or applied lessons maybe assigned depending on departmental needs.
Qualifications:
Masters degree in piano performance or collaborativepiano/accompanying with extensive accompanying experience.
Advanced piano and sight-reading skills.
Broad knowledge ofinstrumental repertoire, not limited to sonatas and concertos.
Excellence in collaboration,communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work well with students, faculty and staff in a diverseenvironment.
Communication in both Chineseand English is desirable.
